Discover
Met with Julie to discuss her specific needs, wishlist items and requirements for her site; gave her some design ideas and elements to choose from; and had her email me all assets she had to add to the site.
Explore
Researched a few real estate agent’s sites who were in the same market area as Julie; familiarized myself with Kingman, Arizona’s community, culture, and notable landmarks; and reviewed additional resources provided by Julie.
Design
Created a front page mockup of the site for Julie’s critiques, incorporating the elements she wanted to see and the items that were required to be on the site, then held a call with Julie to review the initial design in real time.
Test
Used feedback from the initial design review, incorporated new elements and updated designs, coded new features to enhance the user’s experience, and then sent a link to Julie to navigate the site and provide final approval.
Develop
Once approved, continued to design the remaining pages and features that Julie wanted incorporated; surprised Julie by creating a mobile-first mini site on an unused domain of Julie’s that incorporated professional and personal social links; finally, amplified the use of the site by making a downloadable vCard, an online vCard, and a QR code to use to easily link clients to Julie’s sites and info.
Launch
Conducted final testing of the sites for device usability, user accessibility and feature functionality; held a final video conference call with Julie to have her test the site build and provide any feedback; and when given the green light, turned off maintenance mode to make the site live.
